Definition
The system considers the parameter defined here in the following processes during forecast creation:
- During forecasting with the seasonal trend model with fixed period groupings, the system calculates the mean absolute deviation (MAD) for the next 12 months. The system delimits the demand of this MAD to a minimum percentage of the forecasted demand. You define that minimum percentage here.
- During model initialization of the first-order and second-order exponential smoothing forecast models, the system calculates the MAD of the demand. The MAD of the demand is restricted to a minimum percentage of the forecasted demand. You define that minimum percentage here.
