Procedure: Dependent Variable

Enter the key figure in which the historical data of the dependent variable is saved. The system uses this data to calculate the coefficients in the MLR model.

Procedure: Independent Variables

Enter an independent variable (that is, a causal variable) for the MLR model. As an independent variable, you can use either a key figure from the planning area or a time series. Time series variables are stored on the database, not in liveCache or in an InfoCube.

To choose a key figure or a time series as a variable, click in the Selection group box of the MLR profile on the Select key figure or Select time series pushbutton. Variables that have already been included in this MLR model are already selected in the Select key figures and Select time series ID dialog boxes.

To find out how to create a time series variable, see the Application Help.

Examples: Independent Variables

You might select the key figure 0Net_PRICE and the time series SUNNY WEATHER as causal variables.

Definition

Use

In this field, you can specify one or more key figures from which you want to delete data. The F4 input help shows a selection list of the key figures that exist in the specified planning area.

By choosing a key figure in this field, you can significantly improve performance of the deletion report. If you do not choose a key figure, all planning area key figure data is deleted.
