Documentation
Definition
Specifies that the forecast calculation is based on the key figure Corrected history.
Under no circumstances should you check this box if you intend to correct history to take account of past promotions. SAP recommends that you check this box if you wish to make manual corrections to the history. Otherwise, SAP recommends that you do not check this box but that, if desired, you correct the original history as part of the forecast calculation using one or more of the following options:
- A phase-in or phase-out profile with a horizon in the past
- Average number of days in a period (field in the univariate forecast profile)
- Outlier correction (field in the univariate forecast profile)
- Past promotions (fields at the bottom of the univariate forecast profile) - never check this box if you are using past promotions
For more information on the different ways to correct history, see the Application Help.
You do not significantly worsen performance by not setting this indicator.
Procedure
If you wish to base the forecast on manually corrected historical values:
- Run the forecast without having set this indicator.
- In Customizing, attach this key figure to the Forecast key figure.
- Include the Corrected history key figure in the planning book.
- Set this indicator.
Dependencies
If you use a "like" profile, the system bases the forecast on the original historical data even if you set this indicator.
