Documentation
Definition
In order to use the ex-post method for outlier control the system needs an initial period to create a smooth ex-post forecast. This ex-post forecast is the basis for detecting outliers later in the time series.
Use
The default (for user DEFAULT_USER) in the standard system is three periods. If you increase it noticeably, the behavior becomes less sensitive but possibly less accurate. If you increase this value to the maximum, that is 999, the behavior is as in earlier releases (upto SCM 4.0).
