Use
If you select this option, the system calculates the assignment dates based on the current scaling of the planning board as follows:
- If you have selected the day view for the Gantt chart, the assignment dates are aligned to the demand dates (in each case, the date and time).
For concrete assignments, this may mean that the assignment is created in the non-availability period. For stretched assignments, the assignment is moved to the next availability period or (depending on your concretization setting) concretized in part.
- If you have selected the week view for the Gantt chart, the system sets the assignment to the start of the first working day after the start of the demand, provided that this is within the planning horizon.
This is based on the basic availability of the resource, meaning that absences and parallel assignments are not taken into account when the assignment dates are calculated.
System behavior when creating capacitive assignments is not affected by this option irrespective of how the planning board is scaled (day or week view). The system always calculates the assignment dates using the start and end of the demand.
If you use this option, you can select only one demand and move it to the resource using drag & drop.
