Documentation
Definition
Controls how the team availability is displayed in the Gantt chart.
Note:
The setting you make here affects only the team availability that is displayed in the team row of the Gantt chart. It does not, however, affect the availability calculation as such. Therefore, the availability displayed, for example, in the list view of the Web-based planning board remains unaffected by this setting.
Use
You use this field to specify how the system determines the availability of teams.
You have the following options:
- Standard Team Availability
If you choose this option, the team is available during the entire team validity period, even though the individual resources may not be available during this period.
- Minimum Team Availability
If you choose this option, the team is only available in the period of time in which all of the individual team members are available. The system takes into account the basic availability of the resources including assignments and on-call time allocations.
- Basic Team Availability
If you choose this option, the team is only available in the period of time in which all of the individual team members are available. The system takes into account the gross availability of the resources (that is, the planned working time) without considering assignments and on-call time allocations.
Dependencies
Example
A team has two resources and is valid from 01.01.2009 to 02.01.2009.
If you choose Standard Team Availability, the team is available during the entire validity period, that is, from 01.01.2009 to 02.01.2009.
If you choose Minimum Team Availability and the first resource R1 is available from 09:00 to 17:00 on both days and second resource R2 is available from 11:00 to 15:00 on both days, the team is only available from 11:00 to 15:00, that is, during the period of time when both resources are available.
If you choose Basic Team Availability and the planned working time for both resources is from 09:00 to 17:00, the team is available from 9:00 to 17:00 on both days, regardless of whether assignments or on-call time allocations exist for the individual team members.
