Use

In Project System, this field is set to "Not Relevant to Resource Planning" by default. If you want to use SAP Multiresource Scheduling for resources, you must enter a process variant here.

You can choose between the following variants of the resource planning process at header and operation level:

  • Contact Person Process:
In the contact person process, the requester first assigns his or her operations to a contact person, who creates offer demands for one or more resource planners. In the contact person process, a distinction is made between manual resource confirmation and automatic resource confirmation (without manual resource confirmation).
  • Resource Planner Process:
In the resource planner process, the requester assigns his or her operations either to a contact person or directly to a resource planner. If operations are assigned to a resource planner, the system creates demands that the resource planner plans. If the requester first allocates a contact person, this person can find the resource planner. The resource planner can then plan the demands. Unlike the contact person process, no offers are created with manual resource confirmation.
  • Background Resource Planning Process:
The Background Resource Planning Process is essentially the same as the resource planner process. However, unlike the resource planner process, the values for work and the number of resources can be changed in the background resource planning process even if there are already assignments for the demand.

Dependencies

Note: If you only want to use demand planning in the demand display, leave the setting in this field as "Not Relevant to Resource Planning" and set the Capacitive Planning Relevant indicator.
