Assignment whose duration does not correspond to the time between the start and end of the assignment, but that is restricted by the availability of the resource.

Use

If you select this indicator, the system creates stretched assignments for the assigned order types and plants. The duration of stretched assignments is not determined in the same way as concrete assignments (by the start and end times), but by the start, end, and availability of the resource.

If you do not select the indicator, the duration is determined only by the start and end. This is then a concrete assignment.
