Definition
Maximum number of buffered resources
Use
If you use demand-based resource selection in the planning board, the system determines new resources that are dependent on the demand. To optimize the response time when determining new resources, the system buffers a certain number of resources that have already been read in the working memory. However, if too many resources are buffered in the memory, this can also slow the response time.
To prevent the system memory from being overloaded, you can enter a maximum number of resources to buffer. If this number is exceeded, the system starts a cleanup process that deletes any resources that have not been used for a long time, therefore reducing the number of buffered resources to below the maximum figure.
Dependencies
The system ensures that the number of resources lies between the minimum number specified in the Minimum Number of Resources field and the maximum number.
