Definition
(Short) Name of an output device in the SAP system, which is specified in the device definition. Users of the SAP system can select an output device using this name (or the long name).
Enter the name: Enter any name to identify an output device in the SAP system. If you have several printers, you should assign the names based on a naming convention. This enables you to more easily select the printer using a selection template in spool administration.
Process a print request: Enter the SAP name of the output device that is to process your output request. Use the input help to display a list of available printers and other devices. You can specify a default device by choosing System -> User Profile -> Own Data.
Select spool requests: Enter the SAP name of an output device to display the spool requests that are to be executed by the device. You can select from the input help for the existing devices.
