Definition

Indicates the time at which a working day starts for a particular planning node.

Use

The daily start time you specify here is used for demand types that do not have an SAP ERP work center (for example, for demands originating in CRM or cProjects).

Dependencies

Before you can make settings in this Customizing activity, you must transfer the planning node to SAP Multiresource Scheduling using the Planning Node Transfer report (/MRSS/SGE_RES_PN_MNT).

When you then create a CRM service order or a cProjects role, the system creates a demand in SAP Multiresource Scheduling and distributes the demand work equally across the working days specified for your planning node. The daily start time is used as the time at which the distribution of demand work starts.

In theCapacity and Demand Overview report, the demand work is displayed accordingly.

When you bundle demands, the system uses the daily start time and end time to determine the bundle period. Each day contributes to the bundle period within this daily start time and end time.

Example

A CRM service order requires 16 hours of demand work. You set the daily start time for your planning node as 8:00 and the daily end time as 16:00. In that case, the system distributes the demand work equally across two working days. That is, the demand work for each working day amounts to 8 hours.

If the demand starts on Friday and ends on Monday and the factory calendar of the planning node defines Saturday and Sunday as non-working days, the Capacity and Demand Overview report displays 8 hours of demand work in one calendar week and the remaining 8 hours in the next calendar week.
