Documentation
Definition
Controls whether the system permits travel time before the resource becomes available.
Use
If you select this indicator, you can specify that travel time to or from an assignment can also be within a non-availability period.
This indicator is relevant for the first and last assignment of the day.
Dependencies
You must specify the number of minutes in the setting for the maximum travel time in non-availability periods.
Example
Let's assume that a resource begins work at 8:00. If you select this indicator, the outbound journey (arrival) to the first appointment scheduled with the customer for 8:00 can begin before this time.
If you do not select this indicator, the outbound journey to the first customer begins at 8:00 (that is, the time at which the resource starts work).
If the resource is available until 16:00, this indicator also controls whether travel is permitted after 16:00. In this case, the system schedules assignments until the relevant availability limit (from 8:00 to 16:00).
