Documentation
Definition
Controls whether the duration or work is used when demands and operations are integrated or backward integrated.
Use
If you choose Duration, the system integrates the duration of the demand into the order operation. The calculation key is automatically converted to "Calculate Work".
If you choose Work, the system calculates the work from the duration of the demand (duration multiplied by the number of resources) and integrates this into the operation. The calculation key is automatically converted to "Calculate Duration".
During forward integration to MRS, this setting controls how the system calculates the default duration. The default duration, which you can specify in Customizing, refers to the work or the duration depending on your selection. If you choose Duration, the system transfers the operation duration to the demand. If you choose Work, the system transfers the duration calculated from the work (work divided by the number of resources) to the demand.
