Use

You use this field to specify whether the system is to consider only the duration or the total work, that is, the duration multiplied by the number of resources, to determine the planning status for a demand.

Based on the setting you make here, the system also calculates the remaining duration for a demand (see example).

Dependencies

This field is only relevant if you have chosen either the DURA or COUNT option in the Det. Logic field.

Example

A demand requires 2 resources for 3 hours each (total work = 6 hours). The assignments´ total duration is 4 hours. In that case, the following applies:

• If you choose 1 - Duration, the planning status for the demand is set to Planned and the remaining work is -1 hour.
• If you choose 2 - Total Work, the planning status for the demand is set to Partially Planned and the remaining work is 2 hours.
