Definition

Controls whether or not the system calculates the day-based capacity graphs.

Use

Select this checkbox if you want the system to calculate the day-based capacity graphs. In contrast to the other capacity graphs, the system aggregates the calculation results for these graphs only once a day.

Activate the graphs for the following scenarios:

  • Web-based resource management

    To use this integration scenario, you must activate the calculation of the day-based capacity graphs.

  • SAP Project and Portfolio Management (formerly known as Collaboration Projects)

    If you want to use the calendar view, it is advisable to activate the calculation of the day-based capacity graphs.

  • Web-based planning board

    You should also activate this setting if you are using the Web-based planning board. In this case, the graphs are used to display the resource list.

In the last two cases listed above, the activation of the graphs is optional. We recommend that you activate the calculation for performance reasons: If the graphs are not calculated, the system calculates the resource availability on the fly. This may take more time than reading the data from the database.
