Definition
Country key that is used to define data for checking entries such as the length of the postal code or bank account number.
Usually, the two-character ISO CODE is used in accordance with ISO 3166, which is provided by SAP by default.
Other options include the country key for vehicles or a key typical of the country (for example, in Germany, the key of the Federal Statistical Office Germany)
The country keys are defined by the global settings when you introduce a system.
The definition of the country key in the SAP system does not necessarily have to correspond to political or governmental units.
Since the country key does not have to correspond to the ISO code in all installations, programs that differ according to the values of the country key cannot request the country key T005-LAND1 but must be programmed to the ISO code T005-INTCA.
