Definition

Specifies the request type.

Use

The request type can be one of the following:

  • Spot: Request for an engagement for one or several individual positions with less than 15 work days and possibly a monetary threshold.
  • Staff Augmentation: Request for an engagement for one or several individual positions each greater than 15 work days (plus a monetary value), but not qualifying as project.
  • Project: Request for an engagement for one or several individual positions each greater than 15 work days in which SAP is prime or SAP is providing a project manager and multiple consultants. This engagement type includes targeted service delivery teams, i.e. safeguarding (TIC, Go-Live Check, etc.), upgrade assessment, pre-sales project, proof of concept, solution review, etc.
  • Corporate: Request for an engagement for an internal SAP AG project or for an internal Global Field Services project. These engagements are always written on an IO, and the consultant never bills directly to a customer. GSS customer escalations are the only exception; they are handled by the local RM team. An internal SAP AG project includes all I/Os written on an SAP AG Cost Center, including Development, all Labs, IT, HR, Global Support, Global Marketing, and Global Communications. Regional and local internal, non-billable projects are usually handled locally, but can use the Corporate Engagement when desired.
