Documentation
Definition
Position or site at which the leg of a route begins or ends.
A transportation connection point can be a general address, load transfer point, or border crossing point. It can also be a reference to a location defined in the master data (shipping point, plant, customer, or vendor).
Use
You can enter additional properties for a connection point, which define it in more detail:
- Load transfer point as a port, airport, station, and so on
- Border crossing point with customs office
- Station data
- Waiting time
- Address or reference to location in master data
Notes
If transportation connection points are used as load transfer or border crossing points in route or transport processing, the relevant indicators must be selected as follows in the node attributes:
- Load transfer point: Select the load transfer point indicator
- Border crossing point: Select the border crossing indicator
Unless the relevant indicators are selected, the transportation connection points are not displayed in the input help (F4) when they are used in a stage of type 2 (load transfer) or type 3 (border crossing).
