Definition
Indicates whether a quantity shortage or surplus is expected when the finished product is received in the warehouse as a result of confirmations previously entered.
When operations are finally confirmed, a short receipt is posted as soon as a yield is confirmed that is lower than the planned order quantity. The confirmed scrap quantity is not taken into account.
When operations are partially or finally confirmed, an excess receipt is posted as soon as a yield is confirmed that is larger than the planned order quantity. The confirmed scrap quantity is not taken into account.
Dependencies
An expected short receipt is displayed as a negative value; an expected excess receipt is displayed as a positive value.
If the system issues error message RU 117, a partial confirmation triggers the short receipt to be calculated. In Customizing, you can define attributes of system messages.
