Definition

Key used to assign specific procurements and consumptions for single and multi-level material price determination to a category.

• Process types for procurement (types that begin with B) are activities that generally lead to an acquisition, for example, purchase orders, production, subcontracting, stock transfers, and so on.

  Activities that are not assigned to a process type for procurement are assigned to process type B+ by the system.

• Process types for consumption (types that begin with V) are activities that generally lead to a withdrawal, for example, withdrawals from plants, production orders, cost centers, and so on.

  Activities that are not assigned to a process type for consumption are assigned to process type V+ by the system.

Use

The process type is used when collecting valuation-relevant operations for single and multi-level material price determination in order determine how the valuation-relevant operations are to influence the valuation price of the material.

Process types are defined in the system in Customizing for actual costing and the material ledger.
