Documentation
Definition
Lot size of the costed object (such as material, sales order, and so on) that was used in product costing as the basis of the cost estimate
Use
The costing lot size in the material master is generally used as the basis for costing all materials within a planning level. If materials (such as semifinished products) are converted to materials with the next highest planning level (such as finished products), the costing results are converted to the costing lot size of the costed material (in this case, the finished product) so that the cost of using the material for the finished product can be calculated.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
You can use the costing variant to specify that, for the material cost estimate and sales order costing, the costing lot size of the uppermost material is used as the basis for costing the lower-level materials.
