Definition

An additional date type at header level that the system considers during resource-independent scheduling.

Use

The six predefined item dates are:

  • Planned start
  • Planned end
  • Earliest start
  • Earliest end
  • Latest start
  • Latest end

If the system is to calculate additional dates from the header dates during resource-independent scheduling, enter the header date type in which the starting date for the calculation is to be stored.

Dependencies

Example

You create a service order containing the items 10, 20, and 30. These items are linked to one another by finish-start relationships. The assignment durations for these items are 1, 2, and 3 hours. You have selected forward scheduling at header level.

At header level, you specify a response time of 8 hours. The order is received at 8 a.m., which means it has to be completed by 4 p.m. at the latest.

In order to provide suitable early warning messages for the scheduler at item level, the system calculates the following item dates during resource-independent scheduling:

Latest start date for item 10:     10 a.m.

Latest start date for item 20:    11 a.m.

Latest start date for item 30:    1 p.m.

If you schedule the items for a later time, the planning board can respond by displaying a warning message.
