Use

In the Demand Details:

If you select one of the restrictions for the start date, it applies to the current demand. The system then recalculates the date and the duration of the demand in accordance with the new restriction. At present, only the Must Start On setting is relevant for MRS.

If you change the start date directly in the bar chart of the planning board, the system automatically sets the Must Start On restriction in the demand details and calculates the finish date if there are no other restrictions for the demand.

In the User Settings for the Planning Board:

If you select one of the restrictions for the start date, it applies to all demands whose dates are changed using the demand details or in the bar chart. You can change the default setting for individual demands in the demand details.

Dependencies

Example

If you have selected the Must Start On option, the following applies:

  • If you change the start date of the demand, this is equivalent to moving the entire bar chart. The system calculates the end date based on the new start time and existing duration.
  • If you change the end date of the demand, the system does not change the start date but recalculates the duration of the demand.

Note: You must have selected the No Restrictions option for the end date.
