Definition

Controls how the total demand is calculated.

Use

You have the following options:

  • Calculate the total demand based on the demand work and period only

    If you choose this option, the system does not consider whether or not the demand has already been planned when calculating the total demand.

  • Calculate the total demand based on the assignment work and period

    If you choose this option, the total demand is calculated based on assignments instead of demands, provided the demands have already been planned by assigning individual human resources or team resources.

    For demands that have not yet been planned, the total demand is calculated based on the demand work and period.

Dependencies

Note that the setting you make here affects the free capacity. The capacity equals the total capacity minus the total demand.
