Definition
Controls whether or not the system displays a collision whenever the resource utilization exceeds 100%.
Use
Select this checkbox if you want to display a collision whenever a resource is overutilized, even if no parallel assignments or time allocations exist.
This is also applies to collisions on team level.
Dependencies
This checkbox is only relevant if the following applies:
- A collision with key OVER has been configured in Customizing under Collision Settings --> Define Collisions and a graphical element has been assigned to it.
- The use of negative capacity has been activated in Customizing under Basic Settings --> Configure Basic Settings.
Note that if you select this checkbox and the availability-based utilization is inactive, the system displays a collision in periods of non-availability if parallel assignments or time allocations exist.
Example
Example 1:
Resource A works 8 hours per day. A capacitive assignment with 10-hour duration is created for Monday. If you select this checkbox, a collision is displayed in the planning board for this day even though no parallel assignment exists.
Example 2:
A demand requires the assignment of 3 resources. Your team consists of 2 resources. If you select this checkbox, a collision is displayed.
