Use
You use this field to specify the following:
- Whether you want to use the capacity of human resources for the capacity calculation
If you choose this option, the system takes into account the availability of individual human resources when calculating the total capacity. When calculating the free capacity, the system takes into account demands and assignments.
If you choose this option, the system calculates the total demand separately. It also calculates further details related to the total demand (for example, unassigned demands and assigned demands). In Customizing activity Control Options for Total Demand Calculation you can specify which details are calculated.
- Whether you want to use the work center capacity for the capacity calculation
If you choose this option, the system takes into account the work center capacity or individual shifts of a work center when calculating the total capacity. When calculating the free capacity, the system takes into account demands only.
If you choose this option, the system does not display any details for the total demand in the Capacity and Demand Overview report. It neither calculates the total demand separately nor any details that are related to assignments.
In addition, you specify the following:
- Whether you want the system to re-calculate the capacity immediately on saving the planning board
The re-calculated capacity is displayed in the Capacity and Demand Overview report after you have saved the planning board.
- Whether you want the system to re-calculate the capacity in batch mode, that is, at regular intervals
The re-calculated capacity is only displayed in the Capacity and Demand Overview report after the batch job has been run.
