Definition

Indicates whether or not the appointment window that the system proposes in the appointment result list is to include the duration of the demand.

Use

Select this checkbox if you want to define the appointment window that you offer to customers as the time frame spanning from the earliest appointment start (arrival of the resource) to the latest appointment end (departure of the resource). In this case the appointment window includes the demand duration.

If you want to define the appointment window that you offer to customers as the time frame within which the resource arrives at the customer's site, do not select this checkbox. Note that in this case the appointment window does not include the demand duration.

Dependencies

Example

You want to schedule an appointment for a PM/CS demand with a duration of 2 hours. In the appointment booking dialog, the system proposes an appointment window spanning from 06:00 to 12:00.

If you select this checkbox, the appointment window is considered to be from the earliest appointment start to the latest appointment end. The technician has to arrive sometime between 6:00 and 10:00 in order to ensure that the 2-hour demand can be completed. In this case, the following applies:

  • Earliest start is at 6:00, earliest end is at 8:00
  • Latest start is at 10:00, latest end is at 12:00

If you do not select this checkbox, the appointment window is considered to be from the earliest start to the latest start of the appointment. The technician may arrive sometime between 06:00 and 12:00. In this case, the following applies:

  • Earliest start is at 06:00, earliest end is at 08:00
  • Latest start is at 12:00, latest end is at 14:00
