Planned price reduction

Use

The planned price reduction is used in assortment planning to plan sales.

Dependencies

The planned price reduction is determined from the markdown profile and the planned sales ratios from the previous periods according to the following rules:

• If a markdown results from the planned sales ratio and the markdown profile from a period, this markdown is transferred to the next period of the sales pattern as a planned price reduction. This assumes that a markdown proposed at the end of a period is accepted and the price in the next period is reduced.
• If based on the planned sales ratio and the markdown profile, a period results in a markdown that is less than the price reduction planned for this period, this lower markdown is ignored. This means that prices will not be raised after a particularly good period.
