Definition
In merchandise planning and store planning, two different fiscal year variants are used. First a rough fiscal year variant is planned, for example, a month variant. This planning data is then distributed among a more detailed fiscal year variant. This detailed fiscal year variant is mainly used for reporting, but also by other application components (for example, POS DataMart or Slow Seller Management).
In the stock ledger, three fiscal year variants are used. The cumulated period overview displays data for the current week (which corresponds to the detailed fiscal year variant), the current month (which corresponds to the rough fiscal year variant), and the current quarter or season (which corresponds to the very rough fiscal year variant).
This fiscal year variant is the rough planning variant.
