Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether and how external time stamps are to be taken into account during stock postings.
Use
By default, LIME processes delta and absolute postings for stock updates in the sequence in which they are received. If the postings are made asynchronously, however, LIME may need to make sure that they are processed in their original sequence. Otherwise, unintended stock updates may occur.
You can use the Dated Stock setting to control whether or not LIME takes external time stamps into account during stock updates:
- Choose the standard setting Do not take (external) time stamps into account if you want LIME to process delta and absolute postings in the sequence in which they are received. In this case, external time stamps that may exist are not taken into account.
- Choose Take time stamp of last absolute posting into account if you want LIME to check external time stamps before processing delta and absolute postings. In this case, LIME rejects delta and absolute postings with a time stamp less than or equal to the time stamp of the last absolute posting.
Dependencies
If you want to execute one of the following functions, you must choose the standard Dated Stock setting Do not take (external) time stamps into account:
- Moving handling units (HUs) or locations
- Booking out the complete stock for a material in a location or HU (ISSUE_ALL)
- Using the collector functionality
