Documentation
Definition
Enter a name for the new Entity Type. Entity Types are structural types. The structure of an Entity Type is provided by its Properties.
Use
Intuitively, Entity Types model the top-level concepts within a data model - such as Customers, Orders, Suppliers and so on (to take the example of a typical line-of-business system). An entity instance represents one particular instance of the Entity Type such as a specific customer or a specific order. An Entity Type can be either abstract or concrete. An abstract Entity Type cannot be instantiated.
