Definition

Specifies the project type to be created in the Service Builder. The project type dictates what type of annotations you can add to data model artifacts (such as entity types, entity sets, complex types, and associations).

You cannot change the project type after a project has been created.

Use

Choose Service with SAP Annotations if you want to use standard SAP annotations (core attributes) to annotate your data model artifacts. The core attributes available for annotations are dictated by the artifact type. Examples of core attributes include ABAP structure type name, base type name, and label.

Choose Service with Vocabulary-Based Annotations if you want to use vocabulary-based terms to annotate your data model artifacts. The Service Builder includes a Vocabulary Repository that stores some standard vocabularies for frequent use cases, but if these vocabularies do not contain the terms you require, you can upload your own vocabularies.

Customer-specific vocabularies enable you to use freely-definable terms that are relevant for a particular use case or business scneario to annotate your data model artifacts.
