Definition

This field contains the open contingent liability of a source system contract. Dependent on the product type of the source system contract, this can be an open line of credit, a disbursement obligation, or also the amount of a guarantee or a surety for payment.

The open contingent liability field contains the highest possible amount that can be used to form a 'provision' risk provision position for the corresponding source system contract.

Use

This amount provides the basis for the calculation of the 'provision' risk provision position.

Dependencies

  • Data supply (from source system)

The open contingent liability is supplied when data is supplied to the IAS interface (database table /IBS/TRB_IASGHD); the open contingent liability must always be in the contract currency of the source system contract.

  • Calculation of 'provision' risk provision position

The open contingent liability is relevant for the calculation of the usage amount of contingent liability.

Note

The open contingent liability cannot be negative; if a negative value is supplied during the data supply, then it is initialized during the RBD account update - which means that the system overwrites it with a zero value.
