Documentation
Definition
Amount of the net present value effect (unwinding) for the risk provision position 'Value Adjustment'. The system determines this amount for the chosen evaluation event.
Use
The net present value effect is the result of the net present value change of cash flows and collateral defined in the previous evaluation for resetting the receivable. During subsequent evaluation, it is not possible to change or suppress the net present value effect.
Dependencies
Posting of an unwinding usually leads to a reduction of the value adjustment position. However, if you process negative cash flows, it can lead to an increase in the risk provision position 'value adjustment':
- Position reduction due to unwinding (negative amount, shown with '-' sign)
Net present value effect for cash flows and collateral leads to a reduction of the risk provision position 'value adjustment'. In sample Customizing for RBD, you post such a position reduction using the RBD flow type 'Unwinding IVA Position Reducing'.
- Position increase due to unwinding (positive amount, shown without +/- sign)
If you processed negative cash flow positions and their net present value effect is higher than the net present value effect of cash flows and collateral defined with positive values, then posting the unwinding leads to an increase in the risk provision position 'value adjustment'. In sample Customizing for RBD, you post such a position increase due to unwinding using the RBD flow type 'Unwinding IVA Position Increasing'.
On the #Turnover Processing# tab page of the RBD account, the system displays the corresponding planned record or actual record - dependent on whether or not the result of the key date evaluation has been posted already - for this amount .
Example
For the definition of unwinding and a sample calculation, see RBD: Unwinding Amount
