Definition
You use the transaction category to classify a transaction as a receivable and/or contingent liability in terms of risk.
The following transaction categories are available:
Fixed value Short Description
01 01 Receivable
02 02 Contingent Liability
03 03 Receivable and Contingent Liability
Use
In the source systems, relevant transactions are classified using the product type or similar master data information. From this, you can derive whether the transaction is a receivable (for example, utilization of a loan) or a contingent liability (for example, guarantee, irrevocable commitment). Based on this, the risk provision must be created as a value adjustment and/or provision.
