Definition
With the default setting ("ON"), only documents replicated to SAP BW are archived.
Technically, only documents from closed tranches are replicated with the default setting. This means that only one condition is checked for replication.
With the alternative setting, all documents that meet the selection conditions are archived, irrespective of whether they are replicated or not.
Use
To guarantee completeness of data in SAP BW, only replicated documents should normally be archived.
