Definition

This indicator makes it possible to find an alternative posting date for reversal documents automatically.

Use

If the posting date of the reversal document cannot be transferred to the reversal document (such as in the case of closed periods), the system can find an alternative posting date automatically.

The posting date is then the first date of the first open period.

Dependencies

It is only possible to find an alternative posting date automatically if the 'reason for reversal' settings allow this.

Prerequisites:

• You have set the Alternative Posting Date (Reversal Date) Allowed indicator
• You have set the indicator for automatic determination

If the alternative posting date was set manually, the system ignores the setting for automatic determination.
