Definition
The variant summarizes all settings for the contextual structure of Profitability Analysis for the purpose of the Profitability Management View. That is, it represents a consistent, business-oriented Profitability Analysis.
You can create several variants, for example for text or documentation purposes. Precisely one variant can be designated as the active variant. This variant can be provided with data retention and determines the structure of the cost and revenue journal and the business transaction in the Accounting Engine, as well as its functioning at runtime.
