Definition
This flag controls whether the realignment function is switched on or off in the Profitability Management view.
If this function is switched on, Profitability Management has in addition to the 'as posted view of profitability analysis data the 'by current structure' view too. The data in the by current structure view can be edited and processed with the realignment tool.
Use
After you have switched on the realignment function by selecting this flag, you have to perform a number of activities in order to configure and activate the realignment tool.
Perform these activities as follows:
- To begin with, go to the list and select the characteristics that you want the realignment tool to be able to edit. The default setting is for all characteristics to be selected as editable. Save your settings.
Next, you have to configure data retention for the by current structure view. To do so, change to the Data Retention function.
- Create an additional data supply flow for the by current structure view. Proceed as described in the help text and perform the Fetch Realignment Data from View function in the context menu und DataSource. (Choose this menu option only for the data supply flow that you have destined for the 'by current structure view.)
- Under 'BW Objects in the Accounting View', enter the 'Provider for the read interface by current structure. This provider must have a reference to the physical InfoCube that you have generated for the data supply flow you have just created.
Go back to the variant maintenance screen. By switching on the realignment functionality, you have deactivated your variant.
- Activate your variant.
