Documentation
Definition
Specifies the unit of measure in which a material is to be valuated.
Use
You cannot enter the unit of measure directly. To enter it you must use the units of measure definition in the additional data screen for the material master.
- If the material is a standard material, the valuation unit of measure automatically corresponds to the base unit of measure.
- If the material is a catch weight material you can use the type of parallel unit of measure to define whether the catch weight material should be valuated in the base unit of measure (default value) or in the parallel unit of measure.
- We recommend that you define the valuation unit of measure when you create the catch weight material. You can only change the valuation unit of measure later if you have not already made any postings using the catch weight material.
