Definition

Valuates the material stock.

Use

The system valuates goods movements on the basis of the valuation procedure. Inventory accounting uses the valuation procedure standard price evaluation. This ensures that the system valuates all goods movements with the inventory price.

Dependencies

In the valuation procedure standard price valuation, you can change the inventory price as follows:

  1. Create a material cost estimate (transaction CK11N)
  2. Perform a price update (transaction CK24)
  3. Change inventory price (transaction FAIV01)

When prices variances occur (for example, purchase price is higher than the inventory price) the system posts these to price difference accounts. This has no effect on the standard price.
