Use

This business add-in (BAdI) is used in the Material Master component (LO-MD-MM). It controls the type of error messages that can occur during the checks on the validity of price patterns. The error messages relate to the gaps between the to-date of a price pattern and the from-date of the next pattern, or to the correct syntax of a date itself.

This control of the degree of seriousness of the error message is carried out via the following methods:

  • GET_MESSAGE_LEVEL_GAP_CHECK
    • If a gap is discovered between the to-date of a price pattern and the from-date of the next pattern during the price pattern check, the system error message can be assigned one of the following degrees of seriousness:

  • E     Error
  • W     Warning
  • N     No message

  • GET_MESSAGE_VALIDITY_CHECK
    • If an error is discovered during the syntax and logical check on the individual validity data, the resulting error message can be set to one of the following types:

  • E     Error
  • W     Warning
  • N     No message

Requirements

You can only use this BAdI if your SAP R/3 System is set up as an SAP Retail System.
