Use
In this IMG activity, you make settings for the price level group types.
You define the following influencing factors:
- Price level group category
Note here that price level group category '01' specifies that the price level group created on the basis of this category can only be assigned to material groups, and not to material hierarchy nodes.
All other price level group categories can only be assigned to material hierarchy nodes.
- Description
This relates to the description of a price level group category, which is displayed in all transactions in which the price level group category is used.
- Validity
If this indicator is activated, you can only create a price pattern in a price level group of this category. If the indicator is not set, any number of price patterns can be generated.
- Required assignment
If this indicator is activated, the assignment of a price level group of this category is absolutely essential. If a maintenance transaction for a group of materials is called, the entry of a value in the price level group field is mandatory.
- Multiple assignment
If this indicator is activated, you can assign a price level group of this category to several groups of materials of the same type. If the functionality is not activated, you can only assign a price level group to one group of materials.
- Number assignment
In principle, there are two kinds of number assignment; internal and external. In internal number assignment, the system assigns a purely numerical, 6-character price level group number when the price level group is created. External number assignment is the manual entry of a 6-character number with at least one literal.
You can also activated mixed number assignment. The price level group category configured in this way allows the internal or external creation of a price level group. If the external field remains initial, the system automatically assigns the price level group number.
Requirements
A "Price Level Group" number range object with 6 purely numerical characters must have been created
