Use
In this IMG activity, you group fields together to form field groups. A field can only be assigned to one field group.
Enter the mapping information for the BAPI call of the core master data maintenance and the material copy function in columns Structure Name and BAPI Field Name.
You then assign these field groups to maintenance groups; you can assign one field group to multiple maintenance groups.
If you use a maintenance group for core master data maintenance, for example, the set of active fields is limited to the fields defined in the maintenance group. At the same time, you make sure that interdependent fields are always edited together.
Requirements
Your ERP system must be configured as a Retail system.
You have defined the field groups in IMG activity Edit Field Groups.
Standard settings
The field groups delivered by SAP all have assigned fields.
Activities
If you have created field groups in the customer namespace, assign the allowed customer-specific fields to them.
Example
The cross-site material status and the corresponding date have to be maintained at the same time. Therefore, both of these fields belong to one field group.
