Use
In this Customizing activity, you can copy existing SAP design objects to adapt them to your requirements. In this Customizing activity, you can see existing SAP design objects, and select the design object that you want to copy.
First you copy an existing SAP design object in this Customizing activity, and then adapt the design settings in the activity Define Design Objects .
If you copy existing SAP design objects, these copies are saved in a separate customer table. If you adapt the design settings of the copied SAP design objects, the changed settings are also saved in the customer table.
If you create your own design objects, you can add attributes that belong to other BOL objects, in one design object. This means that you can group similar attributes in one design object, even if these attributes belong to different BOL objects.
A design object is defined by the following settings:
- Description
Describes the design object, for example, Business Partner - BOL object name
Defines the business scope of the design object, for example, BTPartner - Reference design object
An optional reference design object that is used to inherit the design settings of a reference design object
A where-used list in the design object screen shows the list of components and views that use this design object.
If you have defined a reference design object, you can see the definition of this reference design object by clicking Display.
