Use
In this Customizing activity, you can copy existing business roles, or create and define new business roles. Additionally, you can assign function profiles to your business role.
Requirements
You have defined the authorization role in the Customizing activity Define Authorization Role.
Standard settings
Activities
Create Business Role
If you want to change an existing role, you need to copy it first. Afterwards, you need to define the following settings:
- Type
This parameter defines the profile type of a business role; if you do not want to define a profile type, choose No Classification - Description
This parameter describes the name of a business role, for example, Dealer Portal
- Role configuration key
This parameter defines the configuration based on a business role, for example,
PFCG_MODE
- Navigation bar profile
This profile defines the content that is displayed in the navigation bar of a business role; if you do not want to use a navigation bar profile, leave the field empty
- Layout profile
This profile defines the layout of the navigation frame in the WebClient UI; the standard layout profile is
DEFAULT_PFCG
. - Technical profile
This profile defines technical parameters, such as memory threshold, browser back support, or delta handling; if you do not want to use a technical profile, leave the field empty
- PFCG role ID
This ID defines the authorization role that is used to find the corresponding business role in the WebClient UI, for example,
SAP_DP_WEBCLIENT_UI
- Specific help context
This parameter defines the application help that is started when you click the active help ID on the corresponding page in the WebClient UI. - Specific help fallback
This parameter defines that the standard application help is started if no link to the application help of the business roles in partner channel management can be found. - Logo text
This parameter defines the text next to the logo in the header area of the WebClient UI. You can enter a text with a maximum of 50 characters. Since the text size is skin-dependent, you need to ensure that the logo text is not cut off.
Assign Function Profiles
You can assign one or several function profiles to a business role. Enter the following settings:
- Function profile ID
This parameter defines the ID of the function profile, for example,
ALT_NAV_LOAD
- Profile value
This parameter defines the value of the function profile, for example,
PFCG_MODE
- Description
This parameter describes the name of the function profile, for example, Alternative NavBar Loader
