Use
In this Customizing activity, you can add your own icons to be used in the WebClient UI. You can either overwrite icons provided by SAP, or add your own icons.
Icons are skin-dependent, which means that the color and design of an icon is adapted to the individual skin. If users change an SAP standard skin on the central personalization page, the selected icons are replaced by the same icons, but adapted to the color and design of the new skin.
Note
If you add a new icon, be aware that this icon is available for all SAP standard skins. It is not automatically adapted to the color and design of the different SAP standard skins.
There are different icon types available. Where the icon is displayed depends on the icon type. For example, icons that belong to the icon type Tray are displayed in dropdown list boxes in content blocks on home pages, work center pages, and report pages of the WebClient UI. Users can select these icons in a dropdown list box in the content block tray.
The following icon types are available:
- Button
Icons of this type are used for any button type that is available on the WebClient UI.
- Direct link group and tray
Icons of this type are displayed in direct link groups in the navigation bar, and in dropdown list boxes in content block trays on home pages, work center pages, and report pages.
- Logo
Icons of this type are used in the header area of the WebClient UI. If you change the SAP logo, you can add your own company logo or overwrite the SAP logo.
Caution
If you want to overwrite the SAP logo, create a new icon with name CUSTOM_LOGO and type LOGO. If you use your own company logo, be aware of its size. The SAP logo is replaced by your logo in the entire WebClient UI, in the header area of all screens, in the screen in which you select a business role for logon, and so on. Since logos are skin-dependent, you also need to ensure that the logo is available for all skins.
Note
For more information, see SAP Note 1350674.
- Legacy tray
Icons of this type are not allowed.
