Use

In this Customizing activity, you can define action providers that are necessary to start the action menu, for example to perform actions on fields in the WebClient UI.

You can perform actions such as showing if a person is online or offline, sending e-mails and SMS, sending instant messages, and making phone calls by using SAP Business Communications Management and Skype technologies. These actions enable the use of various communication channels.

Note

If you want to perform the actions mentioned above, you need to register the necessary action providers in this Customizing activity. In the action providers, you need to implement these actions using different navigations such as JavaScript or back end event handlers.

You can assign action providers to BOL attributes in the design layer. For more information, see Define Design Objects.
