Use
You use this IMG activity to define simple objects for use in the generic interaction layer.
You should only use this activity if you want to define your own simple objects for your application.
Requirements
The component Simple Objects must have been configured in the Basic Settings for the generic interaction layer.
Standard settings
In the standard system, this activity contains all entries necessary for all the SAP applications that use the generic interaction layer.
No existing entries should be changed or deleted because this could affect the other applications that are based on the generic interaction center.
The implementation classes of the simple objects must implement the IF_GENIL_SO_HANDLER interface or inherit from the CL_CRM_GENIL_SO_ABSTR_HANDLER. Self-defined implementation classes should be created in the name space Z or in a customer name space. The structures assigned are ABAP Dictionary structures.
Activities
Define the simple objects that you want to use in the generic interaction layer, such as individual tables:
- For each object, enter an appropriate technical name, the implementing class, an attribute structure and, if required, a structure with the mandatory fields for creating of new objects.
Use the other nodes in the IMG activity to assign search objects, relations, and methods to a simple object:
- Enter an appropriate technical name for the search object and assign the relevant parameter structure. You can define and assign any number of search objects for each simple object, for example, to search for specific fields of the simple object.
- Enter an appropriate technical name for the relation. Enter the name of the target object and its components. Enter the cardinality of the relation. The relation definition is required for navigation between objects.
- Assign functions to the simple objects in method definitions. Enter an appropriate technical name, the parameter structure, and if required, the return object type.
