Use
In this IMG activity, you define IDs and properties for all URL based applications you want to use in the transaction launcher.
Additionally, you can launch transactions that are to be executed in the SAP NetWeaver Portal when you are working in the WebClient UI that is integrated in the portal. The navigation in the portal is based on the parameters system alias, object name, and portal operation. These parameters are transferred via object-based navigation (OBN) to the portal. SAP NetWeaver Portal uses these parameters to find the target iView and to load this iView to the content area in the portal.
Launch transactions support the following types of URLs:
- String value
- Local BSP application and start page/controller
- Local HTTP service
You also define the parameters which the URL can pass to or receive from the WebClient. Once you define the URL IDs and properties, you can choose the URL in the launch transaction in Configure Transaction Launcher and all settings defined here are passed.
Note
The target of the URL must be able to run in an IFRAME so it does not interfere with the WebClient framework.
Requirements
- You determined the URLs that should be started as well as the parameters that should be passed.
- If you are using BSP applications for the URL based launch transaction, the application must already be defined in theWeb Application Builder.
- You maintained mapped logical systems inDefine Transaction Launcher Logical Systems and URLs.

Activities
Section 'Portal Integration'
- If you want to execute a transaction in the SAP NetWeaver Portal, set the indicator Portal Integration.
- If the indicator is set, the WebClient verifies that it is running in the SAP NetWeaver Portal.
- If the WebClient is running in the portal, the object-based navigation (OBN) is executed in the portal.
- If the WebClient is not running in the portal, the indicator is ignored and the transaction launcher behaves as if the CRM WebClient is running standalone.
- If you want to combine all parameters that are added to the object-based navigation (OBN) in the SAP NetWeaver Portal, set the indicator Combine OBN Parameters.
